Since at least 2018, the myth has been circulating in the form of a chain letter that Facebook would only show your posts to 25 friends, but that you could bypass this mysterious algorithm using a “trick”. But even years later, the “trick” doesn’t make any sense; even Facebook itself explained at the time that the news feed algorithm doesn’t work that way.
This chain letter is:

The most relevant parts of the chain letter:
“I fixed my blocked posts.
I was wondering where everyone had been. This is good to know: It's ridiculous to have 600 friends and only 25 are allowed to see my post. It works out!! I have a brand new news feed. I'm seeing posts from people I haven't seen in years. Here's how to get around the system FB has now set up to limit the number of posts in your news feed. Your new algorithm selects the same few people – about 25 – to read your posts.”
It then explains that you should copy the text and post it as your own post, which bypasses the system.
"If you're reading this message, do me a favor and leave me a quick comment... a hello, a sticker, whatever you want to appear in my news feed."
No, such an algorithm does not exist
It would be pretty nonsensical if Facebook limited the display of posts to only 25 friends, since high visibility and interaction are essential to the business model: the more people see something, the more advertising is seen, the more the company earns.
However, there is a certain limitation: Facebook pays attention to relevance! Facebook itself made it clear years ago :
“We organize the news feed based on which posting might be relevant to the user. Although we have made some adjustments that may increase the number of visible posts from friends, the News Feed is not limited to 25 contacts.”
they increased the visibility of their own posts for friends and did not limit it to 25 contacts. The “trick” also has a huge logical flaw: If only 25 friends see the post, only 25 friends could comment… and nothing would change.
Conclusion
So it's just a chain letter that has been circulating for years, but is pointless: Facebook shows posts according to relevance and not randomly to just 25 friends (which wouldn't make much sense either).
