False reports are spreading on the Internet and in social networks - the police are clarifying and warning

Did 42 people in a club in Binsfeld near Bitburg become infected with the corona pathogen Covid 19? – The most important thing at the beginning:

A fake article in the “Focus online” design is currently circulating and is being spread even further via WhatsApp. The health department and police confirm that this is a false report!

Fake article from “Focus online”

An article that appears to be genuine at first glance but is actually false and supposedly comes from “Focus online” is currently being distributed via the messenger service “WhatsApp”.

The apparently professionally falsified article makes an untrue claim that 42 people in a club in Binsfeld near Bitburg were infected with the corona pathogen Covid 19.

It's fake news

The investigations by the Bitburg police station and a consultation with the responsible health department of the Bernkastel-Wittlich district administration have definitely shown that the report is false information.

In the meantime, other articles with the same title appear in the same format and refer to other cities and towns throughout Germany.

Apparently, irresponsible people are making it their mission to further unsettle people in this way and are abusing the layout of “Focus online” to suggest the truthfulness of the content. The perpetrators may also use layouts from other news magazines and newspapers to feign seriousness.

Do not share or forward fake news

The police and health authorities urge that reports of this type not be disseminated or forwarded on social communication channels of any kind without prior verification or confirmation from the authorities. They are only capable of frightening people and causing undue panic.
