There is currently a certain telephone number that you should not respond to because it is a scammer.

For example, we recently received this request:

“ATTENTION
+436958256663

withdraw
scammer number . Please forward!!!!”

Not scammers, but…

...this number belongs to a prank phone app for your smartphone. In this app you can choose a scenario, the “victim” then receives a call in which a voice on the tape plays out that scenario, for example an alleged pizza order or a dog barking too loudly.

How would you know that?

We looked for the phone number online and found it. You can search for dubious telephone numbers on the website “wemgehoert.at”. For the specified number we got the following result:

In the comments you always read that the user was called by a pizza delivery service or that the dog was barking too loudly or was supposedly calling the tax office, etc.

Wait, we already know that!

We already had the topic at the table in 2016. At the time, this prank phone app caused confusion at the tax office.

We looked at the app and in the description you can also find the prank calls that have already been commented on by users, such as the pizza delivery , the barking dog or the call from the tax office .

So we're not dealing directly with scammers here, but with a prank call app that should be treated with great caution!
