In 1797 a phrase was born that is now known in many languages: “Potemkin villages”. They only consist of dummies with nothing hidden behind them. The phrase was coined by a Saxon who reported on Russia. However, this was slander, because the villages that Prince Potemkin had built for the Russian Empress Catherine the Great were real.

When students rebelled against professors and politicians with a Nazi past in the late 1960s, Federal President Heinrich Lübke was also targeted. The GDR claims that he built concentration camps. 15 years later it is clear: the GDR falsified, but Lübke is still not innocent.

When Palestinian terrorists hijacked the German Landshut plane in 1977, they demanded, among other things, that the RAF terrorists Gudrun Ensslin, Andreas Baader and Jan-Carl Raspe be released. But the anti-terrorist unit GSG-9 manages to free all of the hostages. That same night, Gudrun Ensslin and Andreas Baader die in their prison cells. Apparently it was suicide. Suspicions of targeted killings by the state quickly spread.

In January 2016, terrible news went viral. The 13-year-old Lisa, who is of Russian descent, was kidnapped by refugees and raped several times. Hundreds of thousands of Syrians fled to Germany during this time. The post about Lisa was viewed 1.5 million times and mobilized the Russian-German community. But the police have doubts. Eventually she manages to uncover the lie.

“The Protocols” of the Elders of Zion is probably the worst fake news ever. Every 100 years, Zionists from all over the world meet in a cemetery in Prague to secretly organize the takeover of the world. Old anti-Jewish stereotypes come together with conspiracy theories. The global conspiracy alleged therein serves Hitler as a justification for the planned Holocaust. But who wrote the “Protocols”?
