Strange phenomena quickly attract attention in the digital age, where information is exchanged at the speed of light, even in Telegram groups. One such phenomenon are alleged secret images that become visible when euro banknotes are folded. A bull or even a devil is reported to appear, but is this a planned design, a human tendency to pattern recognition, or even a conspiracy?

A devil or a bull on euro banknotes?
Pareidolia, the phenomenon in which the human brain sees recognizable things in random or nonspecific patterns, could be one explanation. Our senses are programmed to recognize familiar patterns, which is why we sometimes see faces in clouds, animals in constellations or, as in this case, mysterious figures in folded banknotes. We reported on this topic HERE in .
The euro banknotes and coins were designed with the aim of representing the diversity and unity of Europe, not to hide hidden messages. The motifs are usually symbolic of the history, culture and economy of the euro area. It is therefore unlikely that a hidden message was intentionally incorporated into the design.
Still, conspiracy theories are attractive. They offer simple explanations for complex phenomena and play with human curiosity for secrets and the hidden. Folding euro notes to see a bull or the devil can be dismissed as a harmless puzzle. However, it is important to critically examine information and use reliable sources for verification so as not to get carried away by unfounded theories.
The elaborate and complex designs of banknotes, including euro banknotes, often contain numerous security features specifically designed to prevent counterfeiting. These characteristics can easily be misunderstood and misinterpreted.

Claim: If you fold euro banknotes you can see a bull or devil.
Fact check: This claim depends heavily on individual perception and interpretation. It's likely an example of pareidolia, the phenomenon in which the human brain tends to see recognizable patterns in random or nonspecific shapes. Therefore, this claim is not confirmed but depends on the subjective perception of the viewer.
Claim: The designs on the Euro banknotes were intentionally designed to reveal secret images or messages when folded.
Fact check: There is no evidence that the European Central Bank or other authorities responsible for the design of the euro banknotes incorporated such hidden images or messages into the banknotes. The designs on the banknotes are usually representative of the history, culture and economy of the Eurozone. Therefore, this claim is not confirmed.
Claim: Folding euro banknotes to see a bull or devil is part of a conspiracy.
Fact Check: There is no credible evidence or rational basis for this claim. Conspiracy theories often arise from the human need for explanations, especially in situations that are complex, disturbing, or difficult to understand. In such cases it can be tempting to believe that there is a hidden order or secret agenda. However, it is important to think critically and seek information from reliable sources before accepting such theories. Therefore, this claim is not confirmed.
Conclusion: It can be said that the phenomenon of images of bulls or devils on folded euro banknotes is more an interesting example of human perception than a sign of a dark conspiracy. It's an example of how our brains are remarkably good at recognizing patterns - even where there aren't any. It shows us the fascination and mystery of human perception and reminds us that not everything we see is always as it appears at first glance.
