In less than a week the time has come: “Star Wars” returns to the big screen!
The older ones will still know: “Star Wars” is the old German title of the “Star Wars” films. And since “Star Wars – The Rise of Skywalker” is the ninth part of the series coming to cinemas soon (not counting the spin-offs), fans on Facebook can already get in the mood: with stickers and AR effects in Messenger!
These stickers and video effects are now available to all users in Facebook Messenger. So if you want to share your excitement with friends and relatives on Messenger, you can now do so. Here we show you how it works!

The stickers
To do this, open a chat in the messenger app, tap on the smiley [1], then on stickers [2] and then on the + at the bottom right [3].

Now all you have to do is download the Star Wars stickers for free from the sticker store [1] and you can now use them in your chats [2].

The AR effects
AR stands for “ Augmented Reality ” , which involves mixing real images with computer images. And that's exactly what you can do with it, as you can see, for example, in the cover photo of the article.
To do this, simply select the camera in the chat bar, then choose one of the three new effects and then send your friends a photo or video of it.

Tip: With two of the effects, what happens when you open your mouth to scream!

According to “ Go2Mobile ,” Facebook partnered with Disney for the effects:
“We've also partnered with Disney to create limited-edition AR effects that will make you feel like you're part of the galactic action when you make Messenger video calls and take photos with the Messenger camera. First, go into hyperspace and travel to a whole new world with the Lightspeed effect. Then you can see yourself as part of the Resistance and glide through the galaxies in Poe Dameron's X-Wing using the cockpit effect. And don't forget the fight between the dark side and the light side of the Force! Now you can use the dark vs. light effect to select your side.”
Well then: May the Messenger be with you!
