Magnolia confusion
Once again I'm sitting here at the head of my table and staring thoughtfully out the window into the cold garden. The first tender buds are appearing on the magnolia. Does the plant know that it could get cold again, that the poor buds may be growing towards death from frostbite? Are they even cannon fodder buds on a suicide growth squad? Are they supposed to squeeze the last bit of cold out of winter? Isn't it a little over-motivated at the end of January to hope it wouldn't get cold anymore? Magnolia bud ascension squad. Maybe the magnolia also wants to attract summer, to motivate the sun to push the clouds out of the sky, to warm us again, if it manages to do so at this time of year, a motivational magnolia, so to speak.
I prefer sun and warmth, but I'll be happy to endure the cold for a few weeks, the less stinging flying insects will buzz around my skull.
Should this malicious magnolia actually want to lure out the sun and warmth so that you end up with more stinging things floating around? Cunning undergrowth nasty which reminds me of having them felled...
Nature and counter-speech
First it blows and winds around the house and now the bushes are preparing to conquer the air supremacy with the help of the stinging beasts, nature is so cruel and it mocks us, how else could one explain the fact that there are grasses that look like that Hair of a president, fruit in the shape of a chancellor's head?
We have tomatoes in our eyes and beans in our ears, although when you look at what's going on on this unique globe at the moment, you almost wish it were like that, or that we could at least bury our heads in the sand, but then it would exist In turn, there is a risk that we will grind our teeth terribly the next day if we don't already do it. So much has been written and said in the last few days about this grassy political novice, who was underestimated by many, including me, or at least seen as the lesser evil compared to his competitor, i.e. about the orange-blonde, and a lot will continue to be said , at least that's what we can hope for. Not that I want to be informed about his maneuvers in the news every day, no, I rather hope that the domestic press doesn't ultimately give in and give in; it is the last bastion that maintains the fundamental freedom of the USA. It's definitely beneficial to see how many people stand up and speak out.
more counter-argument please
That's exactly how it works, we also have the discussion about hate posts on the Internet, it also helps to stand up (virtually, you know, me and stand up, that's one thing, it's somehow incompatible, but it's possible virtually, so im In a figurative sense, which is also interesting again, I'm actually not physically able to carry something across to the other room. I can certainly transfer something, for example from one sheet of paper to another - okay then, I'll stop here and continue to stand up in the figurative sense) and speak back. Hate, which is often born out of ignorance and parroting, should not simply be left alone, but should be discussed calmly and objectively and clarified. If the other person is not completely stubborn, there is a legitimate hope of getting him or her to adopt a more moderate view. We need a lot more counter-speech.
I have not yet been able to conclusively agree with myself what shocks me more, the naive, stupidly bold approach of the politicizing tuft of grass, or the sometimes shocking ignorance of his supporters; of course it may be that they only do this to please those who are even simpler in mind. to incite. Time will show.
That's just distracting
But one thing is still sad, we are losing sight of the little things in our more or less close surroundings, in Germany and Europe.
So it went almost unnoticed that in Hofgeismar a wheelchair user was expelled from the bar by an innkeeper because he and his companion would not fit into the bar. This was also a clear indication of a ban on entering the premises, after all the two were asked not to return get. The companion, a student with Indian roots who is studying special education, suspects that the constellation of dark-skinned companions and wheelchair users has deeply shaken the restaurateur's worldview.
Kicked out
This incident seemed to pass us by almost unnoticed, but not with us, my dear incident, we still need to talk about it. While the whole world is turning away from the USA in horror because the grassy hill commissioned the announced wall and is refusing entry to Muslims from seven countries by decree, we don't even notice how mini-trumps are doing a similar thing in their restaurants. Should we take to the streets now? No, you don't have to put it that high, perhaps as a guest who witnesses such an incident, you can simply pay and leave the restaurant with the two people affected and go to another restaurant together. But it shouldn't be ignored, perhaps a few students from a wide range of disciplines should simply form a discussion group in such restaurants and actively discuss the general principle of equality, preferably with reference to the current case from the restaurant, of course without them directly to name. During the discussion, the host could then be included, with a bit of luck you can get him back on the basis of a healthy relationship with each other, because who knows, maybe he was having private stress, a bad day or some other problem at the time, you have to Don't immediately call for a boycott, even if you're really upset about it at first, even more so if you're not affected but still use a wheelchair. After all, it could have affected me too and I honestly don't know how I would have reacted.
Let's leave the world of hay-loaded heads of government and their little freewheeling replicas and, for once, let's move on to something more pleasant.
Linguistic confusion
On January 30, 2017, history was written once again in Berlin, not in letters, otherwise I would have already written history and oops I did it again, no no, history in the literal sense of history, to put it more simply and at the same time differently , something historic was about to happen. But that doesn't sound past enough, does it? So again, on January 30th, 2017 something historic should have happened in Berlin, no not, hmmm...
Historical
On January 30, 2017, something historic happened in Berlin, well, that's right, that's where the golden bloggers were awarded in a total of 18 categories. At the very end of the event, "The Blogger of the Year" was chosen, in this category Mama-Arbeitet.de and Übermedien.de also launched Mimikama.at, hey, any more questions about who my heart beat for and who I was keeping my fingers crossed for. Then the decisive moment, the presenter mumbled something about “very close”, “do we have to punt” was asked and then, then it was “the winner is”… always these pregnant pauses, but at least we were spared the game show elevator music, instead - silence – as befits a pregnant pause, because then it really annoys “Mimikama.at”. Our Andre almost got killed and actually he only wanted to go because there was a buffet and then there was a price, oh what am I saying, THE price was there.
Congratulations Tom
I have to admit, I'm proud to be part of this team, but, if you'll forgive me, I was most happy for Tom, who built the club with passion and a lot of commitment and always listened to his gut feeling , he was finally rewarded for it. Congratulations from the bottom of my heart Tom, you always had the right feeling in your decisions, you did everything right, keep it up.
Another bright spot
But the prize was by no means my only bright spot of the evening. Another, rather unintentional, Juli from heimatPOTT, she was nominated in the Snapchat category and successfully refused to play through her favorite snap again, instead she wanted to go with the jury, or from the jury, create your face of the day. No sooner said than done, well almost done, she began with the encouraging words “Everyone please stand up.” And from the ranks of the jury there was a “no” from Christiane Link, a wheelchair user. Juli took this little mishap in a courageous and friendly manner and offered to be her nose. What may at first seem like a scandal or affront to many, shows me as a wheelchair user that perhaps it is just my own opinion, which is always irrelevant, but to me it shows the relaxed look with which Juli perceived the jury, not on external appearances paying attention, but only seeing the person as such.
I know it, I've been there before
I know both sides, as a pedestrian I have run into this situation from time to time, and at some point with my wheelchair-driving friend I intentionally said “move aside,” “stand up,” and even “stay still,” and always exactly where they are Most people were out and about, everyone should get something out of it, the main thing is that we had fun and that's what we had.
While we're at it, congratulations
Now that I'm a wheelchair user, something like this still happens to me every now and then from exactly the same perspective, sometimes on purpose, but also sometimes unintentionally. A good friend once said that the longer we've known each other, the less he notices the wheelchair. There really couldn't be anything nicer for both sides. So somehow thank you Juli for this light and insight into the unlimited possibilities of human coexistence, it clearly shows what is possible when you approach each other casually and openly. Oh yes, and of course at this point I would like to congratulate you on both awards, you truly deserve them.
