Last week, a 66-year-old from North Rhine-Westphalia fell victim to a fraudster on her computer who posed as a virus expert.

Grant access? NO!

She was surfing the Internet that morning when another browser window popped up with a warning. The alert asked her to call a phone number she didn't recognize. The person on the other end of the line claimed to be a virus expert. During the course of the conversation, the woman from Hückeswagen allowed the alleged virus expert access to her computer and revealed personal and bank details. After the phone call, she discovered that money was missing from her account.

What to do?

Inform your bank! And file a report!
