Facebook pages with the name “Account Support” followed by a long sequence of numbers are noticeably active at the moment. They tag other Facebook pages in their posts, point out security problems and offer supposed help:

“Current notice for account holders:
Post text from “Account Support” in plain text
Your personal account and your advertising account are currently being hacked by unknown attackers.
Please do this with caution as this could result in the theft of your personal and advertising information.
Verify your identity here and update your account security as soon as possible possible to prevent risky things from happening to you. Thanks to !"
At first glance, this may sound like a legitimate warning, but it hides a dangerous scam. We have been warning against such an approach for a long time, because the background is always the same: phishing!
Phishing trap on Facebook: Personal data at risk
The fraudulent posts provide a link that purports to verify identity and update account security. But be careful! This link does not belong to Facebook! The fraudsters behind the fake site only aim to obtain personal data and login information.
However, this is not just a single contribution. A large-scale campaign is being carried out on Facebook. Numerous pages with the name “Account Support” and different series of numbers after them post such articles.

Recurring scam with varying names
This scam is not new. Such posts are often published by sites that pretend to have a connection to Meta or Facebook. In the past, for example, we have reported on a site called “Standards Meta” , “Fanpage Policy Issues” or “Be Socail Yours Network” . But other names such as “Page Protection Identity” or “Communicate AD Check” were also behind pages with the same intention.
Different reasons are put forward - often including copyright infringements or violations of community guidelines - in order to achieve the goal and access user data.
This data can then be used by fraudsters to gain access to Facebook profiles and all associated pages and groups. It is also entirely possible that pages themselves are renamed and used for their own purposes, as we observed “Reports From The Account Management System” After the site was renamed, posts were posted here that were intended to lure other site owners into the phishing trap.
Protective measures against phishing attacks
To protect themselves from such fraudulent schemes, Facebook users should take the following precautions:
- Distrust suspicious posts: Be careful when clicking on links in Facebook posts, especially if they seem unexpected or suspicious.
- Check the URL: Make sure that the URL of the page you are visiting corresponds to the official Facebook domain. Phishing sites often use URLs that look similar to deceive users.
- Trust official channels: When it comes to security warnings or account verification requests, you should only trust official communications from Facebook or known, verified sources. To be sure, visit Facebook's official website.
- Use strong passwords: Make sure you use a unique and strong password for your Facebook account. Enable additional security features like two-factor authentication to make your account even more secure.
- Report fraudulent content: If you come across fraudulent posts or links, report them to Facebook immediately. This way you can warn other users of possible dangers.
Conclusion
Facebook or Meta would never notify users of security issues, copyright violations, policy violations, or other Facebook account issues through posts in which they tag affected parties!
Therefore, never enter personal information on unsafe websites and protect your account with strong passwords and additional security measures.
