It's approaching Christmas and you're definitely looking forward to vouchers!
Because what could be nicer than buying your Christmas presents at Aldi? Luckily, Aldi seems to be celebrating its anniversary and is apparently giving away 80 euro vouchers to all Facebook users who click on a link to answer a few questions.
This is how many Facebook users see this supposedly great campaign that is shared by friends:

“Aldi has announced that anyone who shares this link will be sent a €80 voucher to mark their anniversary.”

What happens if I follow the link?
In ALDI's corporate design, the fake presents itself as a short survey in which you are supposed to receive an ALDI voucher worth 80 euros:

“Answer a few questions to receive a FREE €80 Aldi voucher!”
We already know such survey mechanisms from other bait competitions, and the poor spelling of the text doesn't make it seem particularly serious. But we won't let that distract us because we really want this voucher!
However, it doesn't matter at all what you answer, even if you say that you never shop at Aldi and wouldn't recommend the discounter: you always end up here:

However, you first have to share this great campaign, which then explains why you see friends' posts on Facebook.
But now we are impatient and finally want the 80 euro voucher! So I quickly clicked on “Receive voucher” and…..

...no voucher for 80 euros, instead a competition for a 500 euro voucher from Aldi!
That sounds like a lot of luck, but none of it has anything to do with Aldi, because you can see the real organizer further down the page:

No more sound from the free voucher. To do this, you should agree to be contacted by a long list of sponsors by post, telephone, email or even SMS .
In plain English – I agree to be bombarded with all kinds of advertising!

Green Flamingo and Co. – affiliate programs
We have often found EXACTLY THIS method, just with other vouchers as bait. In addition to Green Flamingo, other lead generators also collect data - much to the annoyance of the companies used as decoys. So far we have mostly noticed 7sections, Proleagion, adpublisher, red lemon media GmbH, Lead Spot Media, GmbH and Planet49.
The user is promised and led to believe something that is not true at all. The status post gives the user the impression that they could win cars, sweets, gift cards or, in other cases, airline tickets, but that is not the case. STAYS AWAY from such “competitions”! Nobody has anything to give away.
not in themselves ! This is a business model in which the respective provider of such programs compensates its sales partners through commissions.
How exactly this works can be found under “ What is Affiliate ?”
