The offer came via social media
According to his own statements, he became aware of the offer via social media. When the 55-year-old asked for his money back, the unknown fraudster asked him to be patient and instead asked the victim to take out a loan for further transactions. The 55-year-old became suspicious, did not take out a loan and checked the alleged “Bitcoin account”.
The high four-digit amount that the 55-year-old had transferred over time was no longer there.
The scammer was no longer available. The police warn against investing money with completely unknown investment advisors without further checking. Always find out more about the consultant or his company on independent websites or in specialist magazines. Also, never give unknown people access to your computer via software.
