“Your identity has been compromised” (sic!)
Even though terms often have different meanings in Switzerland than in German or Austrian language, the word “compromised” simply does not exist; “compromised” is still the correct term. – You should already be suspicious here. Official emails from authorities should not contain such errors.

Content of the email
“We regret to inform you that you have become a victim of internet fraud/identity theft.
Their identity and consumer credit files were compromised during a data breach that left millions of taxpayer information exposed to hackers and used in a fake inheritance identity theft scheme now uncovered by federal authorities." It also reports a case in which two fraudsters were arrested, Email logs were viewed and it was finally determined that the recipient of the email was among the victims. He would now be entitled to compensation for the damage caused in the amount of £921,911.00.
To request this amount, you should reply to an email address with your name and file number.
Sender of the email
The Entremont District Court at Rue du College 2, 1933 Sembrancher, Switzerland, is named as the sender in the email. – “In a relationship with Cyber Crime Complaints Unit Financial Monitoring Department – UK National Economic Crime Center (NW3C)”. The sender address is “Tribunal du District (District Court)” and is listed with the email address info@swissdistrictcourt.net.
You should send your answer requesting the amount of damage to inquiry@baseldistrictcourt.com. The domain baseldistrictcourt.com was registered in Denver and swissdistrictcourt.net in California.
The domains of official authorities are usually registered in the respective country. The website of the District Court of Entremont – Tribunal du district d'Entremont – is called vs.ch and is also registered in Switzerland.
Extremely dubious – don’t answer!
This notification of alleged identity theft should be viewed as highly dubious. No official authority would send such an email. This email joins similar cases in which users receive notifications of crimes from Europol, Interpol or the police .
If you answer the email, you are primarily confirming to the fraudsters that the email address exists. Experience has shown that various payments will then be required that would be necessary for the alleged processing of the refund. It is also possible that this is where the actual identity theft begins, with copies of ID being requested in order to identify oneself as “the right person”.
No official authority sends such emails!
