Fallen from all clouds

The cloud storage service Amazon Drive, which is particularly attractive for Amazon Prime customers, is scheduled to end at the end of 2023.

Until then, every user still has full access to all data and enough time to look for an alternative storage solution.

“We will continue to offer customers the ability to securely back up, share and organize photos and videos with Amazon Photos,”

says Amazon in an email to customers ( theverge )

Customers can store their photos and videos in Amazon Photos . However, all content must be transferred manually before the deadline expires. For other files, users affected by this restriction must find another solution.

The ability to upload files will no longer be available at the end of January 2023 and the Amazon Drive apps for Android and iOS will be discontinued in October of this year.
