Fraudsters repeatedly try to gain access to Amazon account login details.
The emails, which at first glance only come from Amazon, often look genuine, but some details reveal that they come from fraudsters who are after login and credit card details.
The email says:

“Hello XXX YYY,
Your Amazon account has been blocked due to suspicious activity. The password for your user account was repeatedly entered incorrectly. In this case (Art. 6 GDPR), the restriction of your consumer account is legally required.”

The email can be recognized as an attempted fraud in two ways:
1. The sender calls himself “Amazon Security Center”, but has a very cryptic email address.
2. If you move the mouse pointer over the button in an email program, you can see in the status bar at the bottom that the link does not lead to the Amazon page:

Kaspersky will immediately warn us:

Without online protection, you will instead end up on a fake page where you are supposed to enter your login and credit card details. The criminals then have full access to the account and credit card, which they can then use to shop to their heart's content.
