Last exit Telegram? This fate has already befallen many groups that were previously active on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, and this will probably also be the final destination of the anti-vaccination group “Children's Health Defense” led by Robert F. Kennedy Jr., American lawyer, environmental activist, author and anti-vaccination activist , be.

What is Children's Health Defense?

This is a non-profit organization that is known for skeptical about vaccinations (to say the least). Kennedy, the son of U.S. Senator Robert F. Kennedy and a nephew of President John F. Kennedy, frequently uses his platform to spread vaccine misinformation and anti-vaccine rhetoric.

Removal without warning

In a press release , Children's Health Defense said the page was removed from social media without warning and showed screenshots of the notifications it received.

According to the notices, they said they were suspended for violating community guidelines - which isn't surprising since Children's Health Defense continually spreads false claims about COVID-19 and vaccinations.

Kennedy calls it “government censorship”

In a statement, Kennedy compared Facebook's actions to government censorship, even though Facebook is a private company that can set and enforce its own rules on misinformation.

“Facebook is acting as a proxy for the government’s crusade to silence any criticism of draconian government policies.”

Children's Health Defense had hundreds of thousands of followers at the time of the suspension, according to a statement from the organization, which also noted that it has sued Facebook over its moderation policies.

Meta confirmed the company's actions to The Associated Press. “ We removed these accounts because they repeatedly violated our policies ,” said a spokesperson for Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram.

However, the organization has not completely disappeared from the platforms: several state associations of “Children's Health Defense” are still represented on Facebook and Instagram despite the ban on the national organization.
