The nude photo scanner is intended to detect what content is being received and sent and displays a corresponding warning.
Do you want to see that? Do you really want that?
Apple is supporting the protection of minors by introducing a function in its own messaging app that is intended to detect nude photos early and blur them before they can be read or forwarded. A warning will also appear indicating that the content of this message may be inappropriate.
Looking for help online, blocking contact or notifying parents of children under 13 are ways in which you can respond to the relevant warning.
If the child or young person still decides to view the content, another warning will appear requiring further action before the content can be loaded.

Raising awareness, perhaps
Even though this is an important step in the right direction, it is not possible for parents to completely prevent the sending and receiving of content that is classified as questionable via the user settings. This function only serves to raise awareness among children and young people, and it is up to them to decide whether they take the warnings seriously or ignore them. There is also no information about whether and how much content was classified as inappropriate.
The nude photo scanner is currently still in developer beta and, if Apple doesn't remove it, could be available to all users with the iOS update by autumn at the latest.
