The photo shows Armin Wolf, the “ZiB” presenter from Austria, who appears to be being led away in handcuffs. The image bears the “oe24” logo. The caption below reads: “The scandal that shocked the whole world, Armin Wolf didn’t know the camera was still recording. Is this the end of his career?”

But not only Armin Wolf is affected by such fake posts on Facebook, but also Stefan Raab (German television and music producer, musician, entertainer, entrepreneur, television presenter and comedian) from Germany.
UPDATE April 26, 2023: Dieter Bohlen from Germany and Dominik Wlazny from “Die Bierpartei” from Austria are now also affected by these fake advertisements on Facebook!

Here again the sentence, like Armin Wolf's: “ The scandal that shocked the whole world, Stefan Raab didn't know that the camera was still recording. Is this the end of his career?” Instead of the oe24 logo, however, the logo of “Deutsche Welle” appears here.

Were Armin Wolf and Stefan Raab really arrested?
At least that's what a dubious ad on Facebook suggests, which shows the ORF's popular "ZiB2" presenter in handcuffs. However, upon closer inspection, the image turns out to be image editing and fake news. Armin Wolf repeatedly defends himself against these false claims, most recently on April 12, 2023 on Twitter .
Such false advertisements are distributed by crypto fraudsters
If you click on this fake advertisement, you end up on a website that is supposed to be an online article from oe24. “Heated debate: Why is the Austrian government turning against Armin Wolf? “ it says on this website. With Stefan Raab's version you end up on a fake website from "DW"

What is the goal of this scam?
It's a Bitcoin trap! If you click on one of the numerous links distributed in the fake article, you will end up on the Bitcoin trading platform that promises an astronomical profit within a few days. This is “immediate-edge”. As early as 2021, “BaFin” issued a warning for “immediate-edge” HERE and wrote:
“Providers of domestic banking or financial services require authorization under the KWG. However, some companies act without the necessary permission. Information about whether a particular company is authorized by BaFin can be found in the company database . BaFin, the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) and the state criminal investigation offices advise extreme caution and thorough prior research when investing money on the Internet to avoid fraud.”

It is not the first time that celebrities like Armin Wolf or Stefan Raab have fallen victim to such fraud! We reported on this in 2018 in 2022 that there are criminal networks behind such sites.
Once you register on one of these sites, you can receive a call from a supposed "broker" who will "help" you make the "right" investment decisions on a fake investment site in order to get you to make more than 250 euros to invest. The site is always manipulated as if the victim had made a profit if they had invested a few seconds ago.
Over the next few days, the fake broker repeatedly encourages the victim to invest additional amounts; the money appears to keep increasing on the fake investment site. But when you want to withdraw the money you supposedly won, you get a nasty surprise: a withdrawal is never possible, at some point the site disappears and the money is gone.
We reported in detail about the criminals' gigantic network here: Bitcoin Scam: How the network works with over 10,000 fraudulent sites .
Who is running ads like this on Facebook?
In the current case, the site is called “ DJ ANTENA ”. We suspect that this site has been taken over by scammers and “DJ Antena” may not be aware that fraudulent ads are being placed in his name.
According to Facebook, this page is managed by 9 people from the following countries: Philippines (5) Finland (2) Bangladesh (1) India (1)

From the screenshot you can see that this Facebook page is currently running a lot of advertisements. The associated advertising library can be viewed by everyone HERE . There are ~220 ads in total!

In addition to Armin Wolf and Stefan Raab, there are also advertisements by Philip Schofield, a British-New Zealand television presenter who works for ITV. Instead of the “oe24” logo or the “DW” logo, the logo of “The Guardian” appears here.

Conclusion: All images were manipulated and all media logos were used illegally. None of these people mentioned were arrested. This approach may not be just simple fraudsters, but a well-organized, widespread criminal network that primarily looks for victims on social media. It's even more shocking that Facebook repeatedly allows sponsored advertising from this network, even though it's obvious that it's a fraudulent method that we've been reporting on for years!
Please never get involved in this scam! No, you cannot simply increase your money by investing just 250 euros in Bitcoins. In fact, you're not investing, you're giving your money to criminals - and you'll never see that money again!
