Dubious competitions often appear on Facebook, especially on weekends!

The reason for this is probably that Internet users have time on the weekend and are therefore increasingly on Facebook. And as always, we meet an old friend. It is the Facebook page: “ AUDI RS7-2018 ”. The whole thing is now scaring us a bit, because we've been reporting for years that there are simply no cars with big red bows to win, and yet tens of thousands of users are taking part in the current competition:

Note: The company mentioned, in this case AUDI, is not behind the Facebook page mentioned and is not giving away an AUDI.

The user is required to send a personal message with the word “participated” in addition to the usual interactions (sharing, liking, commenting).

As soon as you enter “Participated”, you will receive an automated response with the following content:

It says:

Hi Tom!
In order for your participation to be valid, please take part in the competition via our link -> http://bit.ly/Audiglueck
Please don't forget to confirm your email to confirm your participation.
We wish good luck

Why via message?

It's simple: This means that page owners don't have to post a link in their status report that could be viewed as spam by Facebook. In this respect, the status message survives longer.

No cash payout, €30,000 or an Audi worth €50,000?

Yes, what now? The next bullshit in the status report is the prize itself. The status text speaks of a complete Audi package, and a cash payment of the prize is not possible. If you follow the link that you receive via PM, it promises an “Audi or €30,000 in cash”. And if you think it couldn't get any stupider, all you have to do is follow the red box that says "Participate Now!" consequences. An Audi Q3 will then be offered as a prize. By the way, this ultimately linked affiliate competition is the only goal in this entire story, because we are dealing with a competition that is organized by data traders.

You can read the terms and conditions here:

Yes, I agree that a selection of the companies listed in the sponsor list will inform me by post, telephone, email or SMS about offers from their respective business area. You can influence the selection of advertising companies yourself. I can revoke my consent at any time. Further information about this here.

So once again it's about trading your data!

What most people don't realize here is that this is about YOUR DATA. In other words, your data is fed into a database and the respective participant can then access a number of ADVERTISING EMAILS, ADVERTISING CALLS and much more. “rejoicing”, as you can see for example in this excerpt:

But not only that!

In most cases, such user data is also sold. Such a data set can then earn the seller a few euros.

… data collector and lead generator

We have found EXACTLY THIS method several times, just using other vouchers as a lure. In addition to Proleagion, other lead generators also collect data using the same method - much to the annoyance of the companies used as decoys. So far we have mostly noticed Proleagion, adpublisher, red lemon media GmbH, Lead Spot Media, 7sections GmbH and Planet49.

KEEP AWAY FROM COMPETITIONS like this! Nobody has anything to give away.
