When a slogan appears again a long time after its original use.
Funny (!?): The church proclaims “Away with God!” In one photo you can see a Catholic and a Protestant priest, in the background a banner with the ambiguous message. The situation looks like a public church service; since both denominations are depicted, one can assume an ecumenical event.
If anyone suspects image manipulation, we should take the wind out of their sails at this point: The image is not a fake. Neither does the slogan shown. But did someone really make a mistake when designing the slogan?
Fact check
The photo is from May 20, 2013 and was taken in Münster. It is actually an ecumenical event that took place on Whit Monday on the cathedral square in Münster (Westphalia). The diocese of Münster wrote about this [ 1]:
An ambiguous motto that made it to the satirical page at Spiegel-Online: “Away with God” was chosen by the Working Group of Christian Churches, Congregations and Communities (ACK) in Münster as the headline for what is now the 8th Ecumenical Whit Monday (May 20, 2013). on the square in front of St. Paul's Cathedral.
The following description can be found in the announcement of the Association of Christian Churches, Congregations and Communities (ACK) Münster [2]:
The logo of this year's ecumenical festival on Whit Monday on the Cathedral Square (May 20, 2013) represents the ambiguity of “AWAY WITH GOD”:
So it's a deliberately created slogan of this kind, so the intern didn't slip up here. On the contrary: This slogan is still a topic on social media today and is therefore likely to have been successful. It was actually about conveying both messages, which was also communicated in advance.
So if you want to smile a little at this point about the church and “Way with God”, you should at least be able to smile a little self-critically at yourself, because you have fallen for the intentionally created ambiguity.

Do we set out on the “path with God” or would we rather “get away from it”? Everyone has to decide that for themselves.
