Watchlist Internet warns about backmanboats.com. ( HERE ) Our partners repeatedly receive reports about online shops that either do not send any goods at all or do something that has nothing to do with the product description. Did you order an expensive branded T-shirt but received a cheap copy? Such online shops are called brand counterfeiters because they claim to sell well-known brands such as O'Neill. However, if anything, only an inferior product comes out. This is also the case with the fraudulent online shop backmanboats.com.

Shopping online at backmanboats.com? Caution!

Summertime is water sports time: wetsuits, bikinis and other beachwear are currently in high season. If you search for corresponding products on the Internet, you may come across the website backmanboats.com. However, do not purchase from this online store. Expensive branded goods from O'Neill are offered on backmanboats.com. But actually nothing is delivered or something completely different. Instead, you just lose your money.

How can I tell whether an online shop is reputable?

  • Imprint: Did you find an imprint on the site? In a reputable online shop there is an imprint in which more information about the company is provided (e.g. VAT number, commercial register number or company register number).
  • Prices: Compare prices. Can branded clothing really be offered so cheaply?
  • Research: Search the Internet for the web address along with the words “fake” or “experience”. You can often quickly find information that will help you and expose the fraud.
  • Grammar and spelling: Fake shops are often full of grammar and spelling errors.
  • Quality marks and certificates: Look for verifiable quality marks and certifications. But be careful: it is not enough that a quality mark can be seen on the site. You must also be able to click on this. The quality mark is only correct if the correct certificate opens.

How to check reputable quality marks and certificates!

I have ordered, now what?

Contact your bank or payment service provider such as PayPal and ask if a chargeback is possible. Unfortunately, the chances of success vary greatly depending on the payment method and level of buyer protection. But the faster you do this, the more likely you are to get your money back. We also recommend that you contact the police to file a report.
