Many children and young people have had to experience bullying. It is a phenomenon that

now very often shapes their everyday life and which we have already reported on frequently!

Because of bullying: This child (9) wishes he was dead. – The most important thing to start with: Nine-year-old Quaden is short in stature. What many take as an invitation to mock and attack him. In a video, his mother shows that Quaden wants to die because of bullying.

Note February 21, 2020 / 8:10 p.m.: We are currently receiving different information that the boy is supposedly an influencer and is already 18 years old. We check these details and information.

Update: February 23, 2020 / Is Quaden Bayles already 18 years old?

Quaden Bayles is already an 18-year-old man! The fact that he is only 9 years old is all a lie to take advantage of his short stature! This is proven by a series of photos that have been making the rounds on the internet for days. The number 18 can be seen in one of the photos. What we now know is that this is not Quaden's birthday, but rather his brother Garlen, who celebrated his 18th birthday. ( Source1 , Source2 , Source3 )

#StopBullying:

Quaden's family always tried to be strong and positive. But now his mother has no other choice than to go public.

Quaden, a nine-year-old boy from Queensland, Australia, was born with achondroplasia. – A genetic disorder that causes short stature. The boy experiences teasing and hostility every day because of his size. An enormous pressure that he simply cannot handle.

When Yarraka Bayles, Quaden's mother, picked him up from school this week, there was another incident. A student patted Quaden on the head and made fun of his height. Bayles asked Quaden if she should do something, but he just ran to the car in hysterics. He didn't want his mother to cause a scene at school.

The situation escalated in the car. Quaden demanded that his mother give him a rope, that he wanted to take his own life, that he wanted to die immediately.

Live video on Facebook

Bayles and her family are of course behind Quaden, doing everything possible and supporting him in every way. Quaden's mother regularly reports on the Stand Tall 4 Dwarfism Facebook page and tries to only show highlights here. To show that her son is just a boy. However, his violent reaction that day made her want to share it with the world. Immediately after the bullying incident, she posted a video of Quaden on Facebook.

The video elicits thousands of reactions, with comments coming in every second encouraging Quaden and his mother.

“Educate your children, your families, your friends.”

“This is the impact of bullying on a 9 year old child who just wants to go to school, get an education and have fun... I just picked up my son from school, witnessed a bullying incident, called the principal and want to that people know - parents, educators, teachers - that bullying has this effect... Something happens every day. Another incident, another taunt, another name-calling,” Yarraka Bayles is heard saying in the video.

Quaden's mother took a bold step here.
In the video she demands that you educate your children, your family, your friends. She wants to show what bullying can do. She wants people to look and not look away. She wants to wake you up. And above all, she doesn't want to lose her son because of constant bullying.

Thousands of reactions to the video

The video itself receives comments every second.
Parents and children send video messages to encourage Quaden. Celebrities have also gotten involved. Hugh Jackman sends Quaden a video message via Twitter, saying: “You’re stronger than you know, mate. And – whatever – you have a friend in me.”

The US comedian Brad Williams, also of short stature due to achondroplasia, would like to enable the family to go to Disneyland. He has already raised more than $130,000 in less than a day.

Sports teams in Australia have also advocated for Quaden. The Indigenous rugby league has invited him to accompany the team at a game this weekend.

“Quaden feels the love and now he needs a good break,” says his mother. “We are meeting with appropriate leaders to make changes and address bullying.”
