Anyone who receives an email about a copyright violation on Facebook should take a closer look! There could be scammers behind this email posing as Facebook.
Not only do these scammers pose as Facebook, they also play on the fears of the people who receive this email. The email notes that a copyright violation has been committed and that information must now be provided on the social media platform.
The email is in English and the “Facebook Team” is named as the sender. The entire content reads in readable plain text:
Hello,
We received a report from a third party that the content you posted on your page infringes or otherwise violates their rights.
We previously warned you that if you continued to infringe the rights of third parties, we would terminate your account. Accordingly, your account and your pages will be disabled and you will no longer be permitted to use Facebook.
If you believe this is a mistake, you can appeal this decision by following the link below.
https://www. facebook.com/[***]Note: lf we do not receive an appeal within 24 hours from your account we have to respect the decision mentioned above!
Thanks,Facebook team.

Unfortunately, this email has been sent quite frequently in the past few days, so it poses a danger. The fraudsters also know how to disguise themselves well, as the link in the email actually refers to Facebook, just not to the operator's website itself, but to a user document.
The entire process: The threatening email refers to a user note that was actually published on Facebook. There is a link in this document that leads to a website that is modeled on Facebook.
This last page is then a data trap. Anyone who provides truthful information on the forms on this website is putting it directly into the hands of fraudsters.
Note: Facebook does not send such emails!
Facebook does not emails about copyright infringement! With this brazen phishing method, which is not immediately obvious, fraudsters get your name , phone number and password in order to then be able to access your profile directly!

But that's not all. Since the fraudsters are now in possession of the respective Facebook account, they can now also access all groups and pages where the profile is an administrator!
