If shared screenshots are fun or timeless, then it probably won't matter. However, there are often screenshots in circulation that are no longer current for a long time, but are then viewed by users as current. And therein lies the crux of the matter.
An example is a case in which screenshots of a search request are repeatedly shared on Facebook, and we have already received several user inquiries about this.
Looking for a foster dog
A call has been started. A foster dog was needed for five 2-day-old Labrador puppies. There are now screenshots of this that are being shared across the internet. Like this one:

"!!IMPORTANT!!
We are URGENTLY looking for a NURSE DOG for 5, two day old Labrador puppies.
The mother dog died shortly after birth. Please share this post as much as you can in the hope that someone will reach out!!!”
A cell phone number was added that people could contact. We can find a dog school at this number. And on the Facebook page of that dog school there is also the relevant post:
So the current status here is that help has already been found. If you take a look at the editing history of the post, you can also see that it wasn't today, not yesterday and not last week, but on December 19th, 2021 !

It's great that help was found so quickly. That was the end of the matter. – If it weren't for the screenshots that are still in circulation.
The crux of the matter is screenshots
The call is shared in a wide variety of variants, colors and shapes. Even the locations vary. A user took the trouble and summarized some of them in a Facebook post :

The author of this post recognized it correctly: This message is now being shared and spread across all possible channels - social media, messengers such as WhatsApp. However, the call is already over a year old. Sometimes even the information such as location information changes.
In this case, you can say that things have gotten out of hand. And so sharing isn't really going to help anyone.
We also stumbled upon this phenomenon when calling for missing people. – HERE and HERE .
Our tip
Here we can only agree with the author of the “enlightenment post” on Facebook. Before sharing screenshots, you should make sure whether the message in them is still current. The most sensible thing to do here is to share the original post.
Don't copy and post yourself as a status. Don't take a screenshot and post it . No, just share the original post. This means that any updates and additional information are also included if they are added by the author.
