There is no authority called the “financial supervisory authority”. In a similar case, the fictional authority was called the “Fraud Department” . The name Financial Supervisory Authority is simply based on the Austrian Financial Market Authority (FMA). The German counterpart to the FMA is the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin). finanzsupervisionbehoerde.com actually has nothing to do with the real institutions FMA and BaFin.

Authority scams refer to fraud schemes in which criminals pose as authorities - for example the police, the financial market regulator or a fraud department - in order to create trust. People usually try to get money or personal data.

What does finanzsupervisionbehoerde.com promise?

finanzsupervision.com poses as an institution that helps recover losses made on fraudulent trading platforms. All that is required is some personal contact details and a description of the fraud on the trading platform. But be careful: it's a recovery scam!

Recovery scams are scams in which previous victims of fraud are promised that their money can be recovered. In fact, the damage suffered by those affected is increased.

What happens when you register on finanzsupervisionbehoerde.com?

The criminals behind finanzsupervisionbehoerde.com would contact you after you registered and claim to have tracked down at least your losses, but possibly also alleged profits, and now have them ready for you. In order for the money to be paid out, you suddenly have to make advance payments. Alleged reasons that are presented here are taxes, expense allowances, identity confirmation, legal fees or similar. No matter how much and for what you pay here, there will never be an actual payout.

Have you already been a victim?

  • If you have already become a victim of finanzsupervisionbehoerde.com, we recommend that you break off contact immediately and under no circumstances make any requested payments.
  • If you have already transferred funds, contact the respective payment service provider or your bank and ask about the chargeback options. Unfortunately, the chances of success are extremely low.
  • Beyond that, we can only advise you to report the matter to the police.
