Bitcoin & Co advertising in its sights: pictures of celebrities are used for advertising. SWR Marktcheck and Mimikama clarify.
Thomas Gottschalk is angry about Bitcoin & Co advertising: “I saw it myself and thought: Are they crazy? And what makes you so stunned is that you see it and think that it looks incredibly professional. (…) Facts are being alleged that I have nothing to do with.”
He is rightly angry because unknown people are using photos of him to lure people into dubious Bitcoin and trading programs where they lose money.

Together with SWR Marktcheck we have explained this widespread fraud method. The result: The celebrities are angry about the advertising method, users were cheated into dubious Bitcoin systems. Here is the article that ran on TV on October 15, 2019 at 8:15 p.m.:
What's going on:
This form of false news is deliberately false content that is intended to persuade people on the Internet to buy a product, take out a subscription or invest money in speculative models.
This is so-called “fabricated content”. These are published in pseudo-journalistic form. In other words: The whole thing not only reads like a newspaper article, its appearance also copies stylistic devices and even logos of real media.

Based on the look and style, you cannot tell at this point that it is fake news. The entire content is also in an editorial style, except that everything is fictitious.
The entire text, as well as the individual menu items on the page, contain links that lead to dubious Bitcoin or trading platforms where you should invest money. So this article is nothing more than disguised advertising bait.
Commercial fake news usually occurs in three steps. You can also see it like a virtual coffee trip: you are lured, tricked and in the end you are supposed to buy something.
