Once again, a Bitcoin platform is advertising with misleading sponsored postings on Facebook, in the current case with Armin Wolf, who is allegedly advertising a cryptocurrency trading platform in a fake article from the Krone that is causing “enthusiasm among experts and fear among major banks.” ...which is completely fictitious!

Clickbait advertising on Facebook

Using Facebook accounts that have probably been hijacked (the verified accounts from which the advertising is placed have often been inactive for a long time), the sponsored posts are shared widely and tailored to the respective countries.

In the case above, a Chilean musician who has not been active on Facebook since July appears to have published the post sponsored on Facebook, but a look at the page transparency reveals that the account is now managed by several people from completely different, different countries becomes:

A counterfeit Krone item

If you now curiously click on the link, you will be directed to a fake article from Krone in which Armin Wolf supposedly talks about his latest investment. Attention: The URL is not from the Krone, you should pay attention to that!

In the article, Wolf apparently enthusiastically reports on a platform called “Bitcoin Loophole,” which “ people in Austria, Asia and North America use to build wealth virtually overnight .” And this alleged interview is also fictitious!

The Bitcoin Trap

If you click on one of the numerous links distributed in the fake article, you will land on the Bitcoin trading platform that promises you astronomical profits within a few days. The site itself has only existed since the beginning of August and will probably disappear soon (like so many sites of this kind) as soon as enough people have fallen for the scam and invested money.

Apparently you only have to invest 250 euros in order to get a few thousand euros in profit within a few days - but experience shows that this is never paid out.

There is a criminal network behind this!

Once you register on one of these sites, you get a call from a supposed "broker" who "helps" you make the "right" investment decisions on a fake investment site designed to trick you into making over 250 euros to invest. The site is always manipulated as if the victim had made a profit if he had invested a few seconds ago.

Over the next few days, the fake broker will repeatedly encourage the victim to invest additional sums, and the money appears to keep increasing on the fake investment site. But when you then want to claim the money you supposedly won, you get a nasty surprise: a payout is never possible, at some point the site disappears and the money is gone.

We report in detail about the gigantic network of criminals here: Bitcoin Scam: How the network works with over 10,000 fraudulent sites .
