A message on Discord claims you won Bitcoin? Stay away, you will lose your money with this scam! Our partners at Watchlist Internet warn about Bitcoin scams.

To redeem the prize, users must enter the prize code on a website. In this case, the website has the domain “5bitcloud.com” (We note that the names and addresses of these fraudulent websites can change quickly and often).

Caution! Hook!

But here's the catch: In order to get the winnings paid out, the alleged winners first have to buy 0.03 Bitcoin on the website. In euros this is an amount of approximately €600.

This is a rip-off - the criminals behind this scam rely on the victims' joy at the alleged profit. They use fake crypto portals to pretend that they can transfer or sell Bitcoin. But portals like 5bitcloud.com are simple scam sites that disappear with the money transferred.

Beware of costly promises of profits

If an alleged win requires a transfer or payment before the win is transferred, all alarm bells should ring! This is a clear sign of fraud!

Did you get a fake win notification on Discord?

Just ignore the message. It's a scam. After you transfer the money, the criminals disappear with your money - the alleged winnings are never paid out!
