Numerous online retailers offer incredible offers during Black Friday. Clothing, electronics and household goods can be purchased significantly cheaper on Friday.
As our cooperation partner Watchlist Internet warns, online shoppers should be doubly careful when it comes to the most incredible bargains on Black Friday, because not every offer is legitimate:
The bargain hunt has already begun in many shops. Numerous retailers advertise their heavily discounted Black Friday deals. Fraudulent shops also use this day to attract buyers. However, if you order from a fraudulent shop, you will come away empty-handed; you will not receive any goods despite paying.
Before ordering, check whether the shop is reputable!
Fake shops rely on Black Friday
Black Friday is also used by criminals to offer heavily discounted goods. Since there are very high discounts in almost every online shop on this day of the campaign, very low prices - which usually characterize a fake shop - are not questioned.
A fake shop is less noticeable on days like these. However, remember: no one has anything to give away on Black Friday either! We advise you to be doubly careful when it comes to the most incredible bargains!
- Compare prices!
- Check the payment details!
- Research the shop!
- Check the imprint!
- Watch out for implausible web addresses or currency selection!
Compare prices
Find out in advance about the current price of the product you want. The best way to get an overview is to use price comparison portals such as geizhals.at , idealo.at or preisvergleich.at .

The fraudulent shops friday.spieleu. com, gift house. com or conversationgarden. com even significantly undercut the Black Friday offers of the competition, which is highly unrealistic!
Check payment options
You can recognize fake shops by inconsistencies regarding the payment method. Fake shops like cyronicel.shop list different payment methods in their payment terms, but in reality you can only pay in advance. Hands off!
Search for a shop online – especially on Black Friday
If you are ordering from a shop for the first time, you should search for experiences on the Internet. You can often find helpful information, experiences or even warnings not to order there. If you don't find any relevant posts, it's most likely a fraudulent shop.
Check imprint
Look out for an imprint! A missing imprint is a clear indication not to order there. If there is an imprint, you should check the information for accuracy. In many cases, criminals use company data from another company or invent data in order to appear trustworthy. Search the company name or VAT number on the Internet.

You may find an indication if the information has been copied from another website. Also look at the company address listed in an online map service such as Google Maps. Fraudulent shops usually list a random address. For example, if the alleged company headquarters is in a very atypical area such as a residential area, you can certainly assume that the information is fake.
Implausible web address and currency selection
A shop for low-carb vital drinks. de runs and sells clothes is highly dubious. If a shop offers a currency selection, this clearly indicates a fraudulent shop. An insecure connection is also an indication!
