Customer data stolen
In late July, Creos owner Encevo that “a certain amount of data” had been stolen by the ransomware attackers known as BlackCat .
According to Encevo, customers should be patient as the extent of the attack cannot yet be estimated. Since no further details are known, it can be assumed that the investigation is still ongoing. New findings are published on the company's own website .
150 GB of data stolen
BlackCat is now threatening Creos with releasing 180,000 stolen files, totaling 150 GB. This includes customer information about contracts, invoices and emails as well as passport copies. In order to increase the pressure on the hacker group's victims and make the ransom demand more effective, a separate "blackmail platform" was even created where visitors can search through stolen files.
Change Password
Customers are encouraged to reset their online account login credentials and to do so on other websites that use the same password.
