Then he jumps onto the roof of the stadium. He, the gigantic burning lion. He jumps from the stadium down onto the pitch.
The stadium is full of people. The burning lion rears up, roars, and loses fire. It goes around a few times until it dissolves into circling sparks and disappears.
Sure, the lion isn't real. We don't need to say a word about it. (And for those who want it: NO, there are no giant flaming lions jumping into a stadium).

However, there are a few words to say about the following viral video. This video is only a few days old and shows the mascot of Argentine Primera Division Club Estudiantes.
The club inaugurated its newly renovated stadium with this video. The stadium closed in 2005 for safety reasons and opened its newly renovated grounds on November 8, 2019. Also included: the show with the lion.
Fact check lion in the stadium.
The problem at this point: Many media outlets only vaguely or not at all visibly reflect what exactly happened. You often read in the reports something about a “hologram” of a huge lion.
But Star Trek fans are likely to be more than disappointed at this point, because what one often imagines as a hologram does not meet expectations at this point.

At this point you shouldn't imagine that the spectators in the stadium saw a holographically projected lion in front of them, which jumped from above the stadium onto the pitch and roared in front of them. No, that's not how it happened.
Instead, this lion was only seen on screens. So those who sat at home watching TV probably didn't notice any difference. However, those who sat in the stadium saw the lion on the screens in the stadium. Here is a corresponding video from the opening ceremony, the show with the lion begins at minute 46:
So you can see that the spectacle has been limited to the screens.
Hmmmm….
It is unclear why many media outlets write so unclearly and why one gets the impression that holographic projectors have projected a lion into the stadium. In fact, you only read about what really happened in a few media reports. Like on CNN :
The impressive spectacle could be viewed by fans watching on television but those in the stadium had to watch through an app on their phones or on the big screen.
[The impressive spectacle could be watched by fans on television, but those in the stadium had to watch an app on their cell phones or on the big screen.]
Maybe it's because some journalists didn't understand what was happening or because the spectacular hologram story could be sold better by suggesting that the lion was projected in full size.
