We need your help with our report: “Immediately remove the following applications on Facebook!”, which is about unwanted “likes”.

If you have unintentionally installed an app (see report), please tell us the NAME of this app so that we can add it to the report. In doing so, you support other users who have also fallen victim to this nasty scam.

What is it about exactly?

It's about those status posts/images that you suddenly “LIKE” but which you actually didn't “like” at all. But it still says: “YOUR NAME likes this”

It's about the phenomenon that as a Facebook user you supposedly like various pictures even though you haven't done this yourself. As a person affected, you don't even notice this yourself. However, your circle of friends will let you know because they will see this displayed on your home page.

As the person affected, you can only see these “likes” in your activity log!

Here is one of the countless examples on Facebook:

Note: SNAPCHAT itself has nothing to do with this Facebook page. This is not the official Snapchat page. Can be recognized by the “,” at the end of the page name:

How does this come about?

These “LIKES” are not triggered by the USER himself, but by an APPLICATION This happens in the background without a user noticing.

At some point you allowed a dubious APP to access your Facebook account and this APP now “likes” these status posts on your behalf!

How do you get rid of this?

There are various apps that trigger this. You can't say exactly which one it is. We were able to uncover some through our research and analysis, but we are of the opinion that there must be many more applications here.

As a person affected, you should now take a look at your applications/apps and immediately remove those that we have listed here. If you don't have any of the ones mentioned installed, then you should remove those that don't mean anything to you or that seem dubious.

You can find your apps here: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=applications

Apps we know that trigger these dubious likes:

We need your help!

We are pretty sure that the list given is not yet complete. That's why we need you now!

If you have also installed a Facebook app (application) that triggers such LIKES, please report this to us directly using our reporting form, which can be found here: https://www.mimikama.org/fake-melden/

We would be happy to add to this list. Through our joint actions, we protect other users. Thank you.
