Respect is completely normal! This is what the Bonn/Rhein-Sieg police and caretaker Krause say.
The actor and comedian Tom Gerhardt, as caretaker Krause, supports the campaign for more respect for emergency services. A short video is about gawkers who hinder a rescue operation. The police write:
Together they want to bring the topic into public discussion and are committed to ensuring that citizens in the region treat each other more respectfully and especially towards you, the women and men, 'under blue lights'.
Audacity among onlookers is not uncommon: the requests to please stop filming and taking photos are deliberately ignored for the sake of their own lust and in the end they even stand in the way of the rescue workers. In reality, this can go so far that lives are endangered.

The police have brought a prominent supporter on board with the actor and comedian Tom Gerhardt as caretaker Krause for the “Respect-Bonn/Rhine-Sieg!” campaign. The video here:
Not just caretaker Krause...
The police are increasingly using attention-grabbing measures when it comes to gawkers. In autumn 2018, the Dortmund police took a very unusual approach and published images of vehicles in which gawkers took photos or videos of the scene of an accident.
The repulsive thing about the gawkers' recordings: They took pictures of resuscitation measures in which the accident victim ultimately died ( we reported ).

“Onlookers”
The Osnabrück Volunteer Fire Department took a very similar route and, like caretaker Krause, was part of a video production. In this clip, three young adults drive past a fire department responding to a serious traffic accident. They get out, approach the accident and take photos that they post on the Internet.
Spurred on by their curiosity and the reactions from the internet, they get closer and closer to the scene of the accident in order to be able to take even more spectacular pictures. What begins as a harmless game increasingly turns into a voyeuristic excess that leads to the hindrance of the rescue work.
