The claim
A photo shows a carnival float depicting Annalena Baerbock stuck in Uncle Sam's butt.
Our conclusion
The image was manipulated by inserting Baerbock's face. In fact, the picture dates back to 2003 and originally showed politician Angela Merkel in Uncle Sam's butt. The background was their support of the US government at the time due to the impending war in Iraq.
The image is currently circulating widely on Facebook and has been shared several thousand times in the past few days and has spread at a rapid pace. A carnival float designed as the large butt of the advertising character Uncle Sam , which in turn contains the body of Annalena Baerbock and is waving US flags.

Research brings clarity to the matter
Through a Google search for the terms “carnival,” “Uncle Sam,” and “butt,” we came across a 2013 Deutsche Welle article . You can see a similar car there in the article pictures. However, it is not Annalena Baerbock who can be seen in Uncle Sam's butt, but rather former Chancellor Angela Merkel.
Fake: The picture has been edited!
The fact that this is just a manipulated variant on Facebook can also be seen from the identical background of the two recordings. For example, a blue and white tarp on the right edge of the picture looks exactly the same in both photos. The recognizable people, for example a woman in a yellow jacket right next to Uncle Sam's right foot, are the same as in the original picture.

Apparently originally recorded 20 years ago
If you expand the image search to include the word “Angela Merkel” (see HERE ), you will find another image from the Wikipedia platform. The picture also appears in an article in Der Spiegel On the former page, i.e. on Wikipedia, you can read that the picture was first published on March 3, 2003 and is therefore almost 20 years old. Another report also confirms the date, stating that the car was presented in Düsseldorf at that time.
In the Spiegel article, Jacques Tilly, a long-time builder of carnival floats, summarizes his 20 most scandalous floats, including the edited version of which is currently circulating on Facebook. Tilly told Der Spiegel that the local press had “frothed” over the car.
Furthermore, the article mentioned also explains the political background at the time. Accordingly, Merkel declared at the time that she considered the impending war in Iraq to be unavoidable and thus supported the stance of the US government - hence the US flags in her hands.
Conclusion
The image has been manipulated. In fact, it dates back to 2003 and originally showed politician Angela Merkel in Uncle Sam's butt.
