Warning! New blackmail scam via email
As yet unknown cybercriminals claim to have hacked the victim's computer and installed a Vrius/Trojan, with the help of which they allegedly filmed him visiting websites with pornographic content and related sexual acts.
In order to avoid publication of the video material, those affected are asked by the sender to transfer 500 euros to a specified Bitcoin address. The blackmail emails are also received by people whose computers do not have the appropriate recording options.
This is the following email:

Good day,
Masturbating is of course normal, but if your family and friends witness it, it is of course a great shame. I've been watching you for a while because I hacked you with a virus in an advertisement on a porn website. If you don't know, I'll explain. A Trojan gives you full access and control over a computer (or another device). This means that I can see everything on your screen and turn on your camera and microphone without you noticing. SO I HAVE ACCESS TO ALL YOUR CONTACTS. I made a video that shows you masturbating on the left half of the screen and on the right half you see the video you just watched. At the push of a button, I can forward this video to all your email and social media contacts.
If you want to prevent this, transfer an amount of 500 EUR to my Bitcoin address.
Step 1: Go to coinbase.com and create an account.
Step 2: Confirm your account with your traveler's ID or ID card.
Step 3: Deposit the money into your Cоinbаsе Bitcoin account via your credit card or bank account.
Step 4: Send the coins to the Bitcoin address below:
1888Qxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
As soon as the payment is received, I will delete the video and you will never hear from me again. I give you 3 days to make the payment.
Then you know what's happening. I can see once you have read this email, so the clock is now ticking. It is a waste of time to report me to the police as this email cannot be tracked in any form nor in my Bitcoin address.
I don't make any mistakes. If I discover that you have submitted a report or forwarded this message to someone else, the video will be distributed immediately. Greetings!

Do criminals really have personal video recordings?
In the case of current blackmail attempts via email, unfortunately it cannot be clearly proven whether the blackmailers actually have video material of the victims or not. We assume that the cyber criminals do not have any video material. To date there has only been one similar case where a user was actually blackmailed. We reported about it here .
However, infection with malware cannot be ruled out. Because when you visit dubious sites, it can always happen that you get malware. Good virus protection protects users from this potential danger.
If I pay, will the blackmailers stop harassing me?
We advise against paying the requested amount for such scams!
In addition to not relying on a criminal's word, any user who gives in to such a demand qualifies as a potential "permanent victim." to report such emails and other blackmail attempts immediately to the nearest police station .
