TIPS for dealing with such chain letters:

  • Tell children that they don't have to be afraid.
  • Make it clear to kids that the goal of such accounts is to spread fear.
  • Under no circumstances should you share, redistribute or respond to chain letters (could even be a criminal offense under certain circumstances) - non-distribution has no negative consequences!
  • Chain letters/image attachments should be deleted from your smartphone immediately.
