A strange-looking post is currently appearing on Facebook.

The text at least provides amusement, but what exactly does it mean? Why do so many users put this text as a traffic jam post?

“I know hardly anyone reads my status but sometimes when I'm bored I put on my tutu, put a giant horn on my forehead, cover myself in glitter, dance around the kitchen and imagine myself a magical unicorn!”

What's the point?

Due to the bizarre nature of the text, it receives frequent likes and comments. If you do this, you will receive a PM from the creator of the post with the following text:

“Well, it got you too. It
has to be fun….

And here are the rules of the game! Dear unicorn colleague, I'm very sorry, but you lost in this game, just like me! You have liked or commented on my status, so now you have to post the following message yourself to continue this game for Breast Cancer Awareness (unless you have no sense of humor)………..I know that hardly anyone likes my status But sometimes, when I'm bored, I put on my tutu, put a giant horn on my forehead, cover myself in glitter, dance around the kitchen and imagine I'm a magical unicorn!"

So it's a chain letter

The purpose of this chain letter is to draw attention to “Breast Cancer Awareness”. Chain letters of this type, which draw attention to this, have been around for years in various variations .

Does that bring anything?

Every October, “ National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in the United States .
This month there is increased awareness and information in the USA about the risk of the disease. The question now is: What does this have to do with the chain letter? Will anyone actually find out about this because of the little sentence “ to continue this game for Breast Cancer Awareness ”? Does the chain letter bring anything to the health organizations? Or is this just a term being used to make sense of a rather meaningless chain letter?

We're not demonizing harmless chain letters here, everyone has to decide for themselves what they want to publish as a status post and whether they can/wish to subject their own friends to a chain game. The only question is: does a game like this really raise awareness of an important issue like breast cancer? Above all: is this perhaps just using the sensitive topic just to spread a bunch of status posts to the world?

If you REALLY want to know more about the topic, you are welcome to take a look at the Cancer Aid .
