Let's be brief: renaming the Christmas sausage from Curry 36 to winter sausage is a gag.
And it worked! Thousands of comments and interactions under Curry 36's post show how quickly a post like this can go viral. We'll just take a quick look at what it's all about.
The Facebook page Curry 36 is the corporate identity of the Berlin snack chain Curry 36. They published the following posting on their Facebook page on Wednesday, December 18th, 2019:

Important message: For various reasons, we have decided this year to call our popular Christmas sausage winter sausage. We hope for your understanding. ?

Is the Islamization of currywurst taking place here? Underneath the posting there are horrified comments like “So I don’t understand it… What are those reasons? I can't understand it at all!" , "Curry 36 is done for me... I'll never buy a sausage again and I'll advise everyone I know against it!!!" or "It's a shame, but I and my friends won't be able to come to you with it anymore ……happy “Winter Festival”? “.
Other users, on the other hand, get fully involved in the topic and make comments like “And summer sausage? What about SUMMERWURS??T!?!41elf1??1!!!!!??? Against the salamization of the West, yes!” or “You could alternatively call the sausage “end-of-year meat in the intestines,” right?” added to the posting.

Curry 36 doesn't have any Christmas sausage!
Accordingly, no winter sausage. We spoke to Curry 36 and the management could clearly tell us that there is neither one nor the other name in the selection. It was definitely a provocative post.
No, the Christmas sausage is purely fictional. We have an almost unchanged range of goods throughout the year. The “Christmas sausage” was a purely digital tool.
However, Curry 36 didn't want to spread a message. However, the reactions of some Facebook users are a message to society and to one or two politicians and their rhetoric.
The whole posting is a big gag, the content of which is based on various conspiracy theories regarding the “Islamization of the West” or the supposed loss of Christian values. The term “Christmas sausage” must have summed up the absurdity of the topic.
