What was clickbait again?

Bait - English the bait, to bait - to bait. So, in short, clickbait headlines are headlines that promise more than the text itself can deliver, although many of them don't even intend to deliver anything.

A colleague once put it like this:

“Then why would you make a headline like that if it’s not true?

The answer is as obvious as the Amen is part of the church.
The people who create an ad like this want money.
Money that we pay with our “click”. Since we want to know what happened in shock, we click on the link and donate money to the site operator. By the way, this scam is called “clickbaiting” or in German “click bait”. With every click, the site operator’s advertising revenue increases. Higher access numbers mean more money. And how do you achieve high click rates? That's right, with a report that was a hassle, namely the death of a well-known person. Unfortunately, this scam is not an isolated case. Famous people who are still full of life die again and again. By the way: Many clickbait sites also display advertising in order to further increase profits. Because when you then click on the advertisement, it is the same principle as described before.

But how do I know whether it's clickbait or not?

This is also easy to find out. If someone you know really dies, you can find out from a reputable source, such as the news. Simply searching the person's name in a search engine usually helps. In this case, there are many ways to avoid these clickbait sites. “

Who doesn't know the circles, arrows and lines that are often used on sometimes blurry images, mainly to support one's own arguments. The signal color red is preferably used, a red circle or its colleagues red arrow and red line attract even more attention and IMMEDIATELY draw attention to the point of the event, usually also to the point of the supposed event, but at least to a point, because with it can be at least as good as a successful headline to arouse the viewer's interest and get him to click on the link with almost sleepwalking certainty, the rest is routine, the text provided is meaningless, conspiratorial or sheer nonsense, but much to the delight of the person The advertising revenue begins to flow to the creator, the rest is the same.

Until now, these circles had to be laboriously added later, which was a real challenge for the inexperienced hobby conspirator, but now a remedy has finally been created. With the portable red circle shown in the pictures, you can create beautiful selfies as well as rows of pictures for any type of clickbait. Simply look through the pictures you took in the evening, create one or more stories depending on your creative phase, put them on your own advertising page, publish them linked to the pictures and nothing stands in the way of the brisk gratification.

Of course, we at Mimikama are not from yesterday, we will also equip ourselves accordingly and take action. After all, we live for the clarification of fakes, hoaxes and the like, pictures with red circles are exactly our thing. Just imagine it - we take the selfies, create the stories, after publication you ask us and we already have the answer in the drawer - people, we are all becoming autonomous together, we don't need them out there anymore Mimikama Community can become active in a closed circuit, a dream come true, right?

No, seriously, the thing is a funny gimmick, as it draws attention to a previously unimportant point in the picture and confuses the viewer. Now all that's missing is an adequate arrow for such a use, that'll be fun. Then I'm off to the workshop...
