The Berlin police currently announce:

Were you a guest at the “Kater Blau” club in Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg on March 6th or 7th, 2020? Then please stay at home and also inform the Friedrichshain Kreuzberg via email: coronakontakt@ba-fk.berlin.de (Source: Twitter )

The club itself has also published the following information on its website:

Danger. Important information for all club visitors:

We were contacted yesterday by a guest who, according to his own information, was on Saturday morning, March 7th, last weekend. from around 4:00 a.m. to around 9:00 p.m. on Saturday evening at the Kater Club.

This guest tested positive for COVID-19 (Corona) during the week.

We do not currently have any more precise information (e.g. whether symptoms were present before visiting the club). If this changes, we will publish it immediately.

However, there are precise recommendations for action in these cases from the Berlin Senate as well as from the health authorities and the RKI.

On the pages linked below you will find a list of all relevant information and contact points in Berlin. Below is the recommendation for action, which is relevant for everyone who was in the relevant period (and possibly beyond) last weekend.

Please stay calm and follow the recommendations for action. We will do everything we can to help make possible suspected cases or chains of infection traceable.

In the current situation and after adapting the criteria by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), the Senate Health Administration recommends clarification in the following cases:

  • Anyone who has had contact with a confirmed case within the last 14 days should stay at home and contact the responsible health authority by telephone so that the clarification can be carried out. The medical officer decides on the further course of action regarding a possible test and possible home isolation based on the RKI criteria and the patient's individual situation.
  • Anyone who has been in a risk area within the last 14 days and has symptoms (from a mild cold to pneumonia) should also stay at home and contact their family doctor by telephone. This decides how to proceed and possible testing for infection with the novel coronavirus.
  • Anyone who has been in a risk area within the last 14 days, feels healthy and cannot observe any symptoms should monitor themselves for the next 14 days and consult with their employer to find out whether working from home is possible.

All contact should first take place by telephone. Direct contact with other people should be avoided. (Source: Club Kater Blau )
