Cristiano Ronaldo: Is he converting his hotels in Portugal to free hospitals? – The most important thing to start with: Various reports on the Internet say that Cristiano Ronaldo wants to make his hotels available as hospitals to provide support in times of the coronavirus. This is a false report.
Hotels as hospitals
Based on several postings and reports on the Internet, a rumor was circulating that Cristiano Ronaldo had decided to make his hotels in Portugal available as makeshift hospitals. He owns two four-star hotels in Funchal and Lisbon. The stay would be free for patients. Ronaldo would cover the costs of doctors, nurses and other employees himself.

This message is wrong!
“Yesterday a message was published on our site about Cristiano Ronaldo, turning his hotels into hospitals to help in this fight of all against Coronavírus! The information had already been circulating on several Facebook pages, but what prompted us was that it was published by Paula Carvalho, a person for whom we have great respect and appreciation and, as president of the association, non-profit, human essence! We immediately try to contact people associated with Cristiano to confirm it, but we couldn't! Since Cristiano has already accustomed us to grand gestures, and because of what we have already said, we decided to share this information! In the interest of truth, we have now received a message from Paula Carvalho saying that she has been misled by other people and we have immediately removed the information from the site! We were misled too! We ask all of our followers for their sincere apologies! We also use it to appeal to all our followers to comply with all instructions given by the Dgs! We are going through a very difficult time, but together we will be stronger!”

In his lines he calls on people to adhere to the recommendations of the WHO and governments.
“The world is in a very difficult moment that requires the utmost care and attention from all of us. I speak to you today not as a footballer, but as a son, father and person concerned about the latest developments that are affecting the whole world. Protecting human life must come before all other interests. I would like to send my thoughts to everyone who has lost someone close, my solidarity goes out to those fighting the virus, like my teammate Daniele Rugani, and my continued support goes out to the great health professionals who are risking their own lives to help others “, said Ronaldo.
The journalist Filipe Caetano, who also works for the Portuguese TV channel “TVI”, also described the report as “fake news” and “not true”. (Source: Twitter )
