The claim
Apparently the gender representative in Berlin is planning to cut off the antlers of the jumping deer on traffic sign 142, because hinds also deserve consideration.
Our conclusion
The claim is an April Fool's joke by the Tagesspiegel in 2017, which the media and users have been falling for ever since.
„Oh, there's something running across the street in front of me. Hmm… the road sign earlier warned of a deer with antlers. But that one in front is a deer without antlers. Well, then I can accelerate! “
No, certainly no driver in their right mind thinks that way. But now some contemporaries, to whom gender seems like the fifth horseman of the apocalypse, apparently believe every post and sharepic that gets upset about “gender gaga” (as a tabloid newspaper with extra-large letters likes to call it). that a gender representative demands that the antlers of the traffic sign deer be removed.
Both in text and as a sharepic it is claimed that the gender representative of the Berlin traffic administration is planning to cut off the antlers of traffic sign 142
The original source of the claim
Over the last few years, the claim has already made its way through some media outlets, for example in 2017 the “ Deutsche Sprachverein ” reported on it, in 2018 “ Kurioses aus der Presseschau ” reported on it (and corrected it subsequently), and in 2019 a letter to the editor appeared in the “ Schwetzinger Zeitung ” , even a law firm adopted the claim. The sharepic probably also comes from one of the media outlets that adopted the claim without checking - but that doesn't make it any more true.
The crown for one of the longest, self-created and still spreading April Fool's jokes (!) goes to DER TAGESSPIEGEL!
on April 1st (!) 2017, appeared in the Tagesspiegel with the title “Red-Red-Green also wants to make streets gender-friendly” (see HERE , archived). It says, among other things:
“On sign 142 (wildlife crossing) it goes into the visual: the jumping stag is supposed to lose its distinctive antlers. “Deer cows in particular deserve the consideration of car drivers,” says Hopf-Gantenbrink.”

On April 2, 2017, the Tagesspiegel then provided the article with an update below the article (see HERE ):
„By the way: It's not all that bad. We have loaded you. In any case, we are not aware of the red-red-green plans described - it was an April Fool's joke. And the author Matthias Bernd is actually Bernd Matthies. “

Conclusion
A surprising number of media and users have fallen for the Tagesspiegel's April Fool's joke since April 1, 2017 - in many cases apparently just because " it could be possible " (yes, we often read this justification from those who spread false claims).
In any case, the deer on the traffic sign still has its antlers, and in all likelihood will not lose them... unless drivers really only slow down for deer with antlers. But then you should hand over your driving license anyway.
