Many users now want to delete their Twitter account! Elon Musk bought Twitter for $44 billion. He announced this on the platform on October 27, 2022. Since that day, there has been a lot of chaos around Twitter. After buying Twitter, Musk quickly set about transforming the platform. Two weeks after the takeover, there is trouble with fake accounts, a slump in sales, departures in the executive suite and a harsh warning from the US consumer protection agency.

Since Elon Musk took over, there have been daily updates from Twitter

  • First, masses of employees are laid off, then brought back again.
  • Then blue verification ticks are offered for $20, then again for just $8.
  • Furthermore, gray verification ticks are introduced and then abolished again.
  • And now Musk is also warning of a Twitter bankruptcy in 2023. The reason: Major advertising customers have suspended their ads on the platform.

Chaos and uncertainty

Elon Musk is not only causing great uncertainty among his employees, but also among his users. More and more users are leaving the platform.
