The claim
A video is said to show Ukrainians preparing a puppet to be staged as a dead civilian.
Our conclusion
It's filming for a Russian series, which even the assistant director confirms.
There are many deaths in Ukraine as a result of Russia's attack.
There are plenty of photos and videos, but (thankfully) only a small number of them, mostly pixelated, are shown in the media. And these photos are not pretty. They don’t have a “Hollywood aesthetic.” They show the bodies of men, women and children disfigured by bombs and bullets. They show a reality that cannot be denied. And yet there are enough people who, in their fantasy bubble, are of the opinion that everything was just staged, that there were no deaths at all.
And the video of a doll being prepared by two men for a shoot is proof for such people that there were no civilian deaths in Ukraine and that it was all just a show for the media. But it's filming for a Russian series, which even the assistant director confirms.
The video
In the video, which is only 16 seconds long, two men can be seen wrapping a doll's arm with adhesive tape.

“ This is how war in Ukraine is being prepared in the mainstream media. Preparations for a new film shoot of “Massacres of Civilians” are in full swing. “, is unanimously claimed on Facebook and Telegram . This also makes it clear “ why you usually film from a distance and not up close, otherwise you would be able to see that they are model dolls and not people ” - which actually just shows that the people who distributed the video have not seen many disturbing real recordings have.
It was filming for a Russian TV series
The claim that the Ukrainians were staging dead civilians in Bucha in the video circulated so widely that the Russian state broadcaster “Russia-24” (see HERE ) also broadcast the video in a news program, which gave the distribution an even greater boost If even a Russian news channel shows it, it must be true, right?
Incorrect! The video was already on TikTok - by the actor Philipp Fedortschuk, who took part in the filming:
The video and the comments describe that it is filming for a Russian TV series.
The assistant director Nadezhda Kolobaeva , who was directly there during the shoot, also explains this on Facebook:
“Russia-24 recently decided to “expose” Ukrainian fakes on television. And what do you fucking think? The program said that “two Ukrainians in military uniform wrap tape around a mannequin to pass it off as a corpse.” And this is us in Vsevolozhsk filming the fall from the window for our show on March 20th, and this is our stunt director and his assistant preparing Albertik for filming! Wankers, you’re all wankers.”
She also explains this in a video to the site “ WhoWhatWhy ”:
She explains that the filming took place in the Russian city of Vsevolozhsk. “ In the video I recognize my friends and colleagues who are working on the film set ,” she says. The "Ukrainian soldier" in the Russian propaganda video is actually a stuntman from Kolobayeva's television show, and the mannequin was used as a prop in the same show.
The footage shows preparations for a scene in which a character has to fall out of a window onto a car. Most often in such cases, the stuntman falls on cardboard boxes, but the film crew came up with another plan. Instead of a stuntman, a mannequin dressed as a character would fall onto the car. Four liters of fake blood and pig intestines were taped to him.
And here is the scene shot with the “most famous doll in Russia”:
Conclusion
The same people who don't believe the "mainstream media" have no problem accepting reports from Russian state television as truth, even if the video is relatively easy to attribute to the Russian actor as the source and even the first assistant director with several photos and Videos prove that it was filming.
