These chain letters are almost part of Facebook's inventory. The list of alleged hackers is long and is added to, recycled or recirculated every year.

If you find this warning in your news feed, you can safely ignore it:

2018-07-18_08_20_15-Window

Tell your contact list that they will not accept a request from u's.rj. Jorge Sáenz, Jorge Prieto, Jorge Mosqueda are hackers and have connected the system to your Facebook account. If any of your contacts accept this, you will also be hacked, make sure all your contacts are aware. Resend it as you received it. Thanks!

The rumor of alleged hackers who are connected to Facebook's system has been circulating for years. Just don't accept a friend request.

But what kind of message do we really have here?

On the one hand, it is a classic hoax that is mistakenly believed to be true. On the other hand, the text/content of false reports of this type always remains the same, only the name is changed.

So Marcel Hohmann suddenly becomes Jorge Pietro or Ute Christoff or or or... And the news keeps circulating.

Such and similar chain letters have existed since 2011 and were first spread on Facebook in postings and via PM. The names and telephone numbers changed from time to time over the years.

It all started with a so-called Moritz Häupl and a Christian Wick. In 2012, Christian Wick suddenly became Marcel Hohmann and then in 2014 Domenik Beuting and Andreas Opitz . It continued in 2015 with Ute Christoff. Ute Christoff became Ute Lehr and in 2017 it was the turn of Anouk Theiler

So you can definitely see a pattern.

Technically not possible at all!

Such “hacker attacks” are technically not possible...

  1. Whatever person is named, they are not a virus. Unless she has one.
  2. It also can't destroy a hard drive or download data, because something like that only happens if you catch a Trojan.
  3. Even if a friend had “ Hannes B. ” as a “friend”, he would still not have access to your data.
  4. “Because he eats his way through the list….” We hope that Hannes B. doesn't choke and get a full stomach.

There is absolutely no truth to the claims; The attack on the hard drive is just as out of thin air as the alleged confirmations from various media. This applies to “ Hannes B. ” or any other name that appears in such chain letters!

In general it can be said:

Be careful what you click on Facebook, even if a friend sends something on Messenger. The same goes for friend requests from people you don't know!

On the other hand, it should be said that status posts in which names appear should not be shared without checking

Or, as in the case of Hannes B., the victim of a joke from particularly “funny” friends who underestimated the virality of the chain letter they had adapted.
