We congratulate this fake on its anniversary! We have been seeing the fake business card soaked in drugs on social media since 2009.
Basically, it is now a chain letter that has grown into a real urban legend. This chain letter was originally sent by email and on Facebook, but later warnings about the drug-soaked business cards were also sent on WhatsApp .
A special feature of this chain letter is the mention of the drug Burundanga, which is said to be the reason why people become drugged when they come into contact with a drug-soaked calling card.

Burundanga (note: scopolamine) cannot have this effect via contact with a business card (even though there actually been cases in which scopolamine was used for anesthesia). Accordingly, the following still applies: The following chain letter is a fake!

Caution
Please pass this on to everyone you know.
A woman was filling up her car at a gas station when a man dressed as a painter asked her if he could help her.
She said no…
He offered her his business card if she ever needed a painter.
After a back and forth to get rid of him, she accepted the business card and the shady gentleman got into a car driven by a second man and they drove away. After she drove off, she felt more and more intoxicated and had trouble breathing. She opened the window and at the same time noticed that this strange smell came from her hand with which she took the business card!! The 2 men chased her. Since she was visibly getting worse, she drove into the nearest parking lot, stopped, started honking wildly and screaming for help. The 2 pursuers fled, but she got worse and worse.
THE BUSINESS CARD WAS SOAKED IN A LIQUID DRUG called BURUNDANGA it is used by criminals to rob or rape people!!!
This drug can be transmitted to anyone in a variety of ways, thereby incapacitating that person!!!!!
This substance is much more harmful and effective than any
original drugs or sleeping pills. So, don't accept business cards or anything like that from complete strangers!!!![mk_ad]
Similar scams:
They put a business card in the mailbox and wait in the car until someone swipes in and then they strike!!!
– Another option is to attach the BUSINESS CARD to the driver’s side window!!! BE CAREFUL and warn as many people as possible.

And why is the chain letter celebrating its anniversary?
It was reported for the first time in 2009 that the chain letter was a hoax. Policenews.ch wrote at the time:
The drug-soaked business card doesn't exist
in Basel. The police are warning about emails that are currently circulating. They contain a so-called “urban legend”.
