A few days ago we warned about possible fraudsters on the kleinanzeigen.de portal or eBay Kleinanzeigen ( HERE ). We have now already received an inquiry about dubious sales transactions.
A user has offered an item for sale. When an interested party gets in touch, he states that he wants to process the transaction directly via the portal. He also asks whether payment via PayPal is possible. To do this, however, he needs the saleswoman's email address, which she should send to him in the chat.
“Item has been paid for”
Shortly afterwards, the seller receives an email confirming that the item has been paid for. However, she immediately recognized that it did not come from eBay classifieds.

She is then directed to a dubious website where she should enter personal data:

It should be necessary to request personal data and also credit card details in order to receive the amount paid.
Be careful, phishing trap!
Ruhr24.de reports on exactly this approach. The emails sent here do not come from eBay Classifieds. The page linked in the email also has nothing to do with the sales platform.
The emails are fake and direct users to fake websites where they are asked for personal and sensitive data. If you enter your data here, it will be intercepted by the fraudsters: Phishing!
Pay securely
eBay Kleinanzeigen announces on its website that no further contact via email, SMS or messenger services is necessary for the platform's own payment service. So if you receive notifications outside the portal, you must assume that they are fake.
