As Online Marketing reports, Facebook is taking action against so-called engagement pods. Instagram users gather in these groups to push each other's postings.
Users want to stand up to the new algorithm on Instagram, because it is responsible for ensuring that posts in the timeline are no longer displayed chronologically, but are sorted according to relevance.
So if a user publishes a post and achieves enormous interaction within a short period of time, it is placed further up in the feed and this is where the engagement pods come into play.
They are arranged in Telegram, WhatsApp or Messenger or Facebook groups and serve the purpose of collectively increasing their reach. This shows how much Instagram users have struggled with their visibility since the new algorithm. The popular online service is largely responsible for this trend:
