The Upper Palatinate police provide information about the dangers on the World Wide Web and what information you should definitely not share with anyone.

Is the virtual world at the same time a perfect, peaceful world? Unfortunately not!

There is hardly anyone who stays on social networks and doesn't chat with others. The Upper Palatinate police have a few behavioral tips to make chatting safer.

Tips

  • Handle personal data such as name, telephone number, address and photos carefully! This information does not belong in everyone's hands!
  • Don't be impressed by compliments or gifts!
  • Meeting someone you don't know personally but only from the internet is dangerous! If so, then accompanied by someone you trust and in a safe place!

Report to the police

In the event of these incidents, you should inform the police immediately!

If you …

  • ... being attacked in a sexist manner
  • … receives pornographic images or texts
  • ...is asked to perform sexual acts
  • ...being offered money for sexual acts
