A poster on a motorway bridge heats up people's minds.
For a few days now, the discussion about a banner on a motorway bridge has been a topic on social media again. A hot topic, especially if you approach the topic superficially.
Because it is the banner with the inscription “Your [sic] children will pray to Allah or die.” about a recycling topic that is now celebrating its return to the social media charts after a few years:

In fact, there were incidents in the summer of 2015 where these posters could be found. Media reports speak of various locations where a banner could be seen.
On the one hand, unknown people are said to have hung such a banner on the A 6 bridge near Kirchardt, and on the other hand, on the “Zum Forsthaus” pedestrian bridge over the A 46 motorway in the direction of Düsseldorf. SWR television reported on it in June 2015.
The investigation was started by the Statsschutz and it could not be found out whether it was actually an act with a religious background or whether it was a bad joke.

Why has it reappeared now?
There are currently no posters of this type on German motorways. However, this is completely irrelevant for social media conversation relevance, as it is not about a time-related factual situation, but rather about a feeling-oriented need for discussion.
In addition, the multiple methodical repetition of old reports represents a perceived omnipresence of a situation. Very simple: if something happened several years ago, then it was simply an issue in the past. However, repetition, which is neither time-related nor context-related, makes incidents appear to be occurring constantly and therefore more threatening.
