An event for which I have a ticket has been cancelled. Will I get my money back?
“If an event is canceled, consumers are entitled to a refund of the purchase price. The organizer must refund those affected the entire admission price, including any advance booking fees. It is best for consumers to contact the organizer in writing with their claim. Anyone who has received vouchers for canceled events in the past can now have them paid out if they have not redeemed them by the end of 2021. We offer a sample letter .”

I have tickets for an event that is now taking place on a different day - but I don't have time on the new date.
“According to consumer advice centers, ticket holders generally do not have to accept a postponement of an event. Especially if you don't have time on the new date, you can return the card and request a refund. However, it is important that the event should take place on a specific date. Something different may apply if tickets are sold for a period of time or even without a date at all.”

Does it make a difference where and from whom the ticket was purchased?
“As a rule, the organizer is the contractual partner of the ticket holder. Even if consumers bought the ticket through an advance booking office or a ticket retailer, for example, they do not have to address them, but rather the organizer for a refund. The organizer can be found on the admission ticket. The right to a refund also applies if you did not buy the card yourself, but received it as a gift, for example: the person in possession of the card can request a refund. Only personal cards with registered names are an exception to this.”
